Faculty of Agriculture Engineering and Rural Development

Head of  Faculty: Dr. Masoud Baradaran

Considering the multi-climate state of Iran as a unique characteristic which effectively influences the agricultural production section, the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Rural Development has committed itself to developing agricultural sciences and promoting of engineering aspects of agriculture along with realistic demands of farmers, specifically at the southwest part of Iran. Furthermore, this faculty is benefiting from an exclusive multi-disciplinary research and scientific collaboration with other university faculties to implement emerging new agricultural technologies and environmental issues. Academic staff of this faculty are involved in different agricultural engineering fields such as tillage systems for crop production, soil compaction, physical and mechanical properties of agricultural materials and products, farm machinery design, development and performance evaluation, agricultural machinery systems planning and management, post-harvesting processes and precision farming.

u 1 Department of Agricultural Economics

In addition to the routine courses, the department also presents the two general courses included "Agricultural Economics" and "Management, Accounting and Marketing of Agricultural Products". The department at present offers B.Sc. and M.Sc.  degrees in the field of Agricultural Economics. This department acts as the state Scientific Center of Excellence for Study of "Development Strategies in Agricultural Sector of Iran".

u 2 Department of Agricultural Extension and Education

A general course in Agricultural Extension and Education is offered for all the students at the college as a basic course. Three levels of study; namely, B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. are presently offered by the department.

u 3 Department of Water Engineering

The department provides B.Sc. and M.Sc.  programs in the fields of Irrigation and Drainage, Water Structures, and Water Resources Engineering. 

u 4 Department of Agricultural Machinery

 The department offers education at the three levels of B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. The post graduate degrees are offered under the title of "Mechanic of Bio systems Engineering and Agricultural Mechanization".
