Basra University delegation in Ramin University

Manger of International Cooperation Group of Ramin Agricultural and Natural Resources University (RANRU) said here on Saturday that a 10-member delegation from Basra Agriculture University visited RNARU to sign a memorandum of understanding.

Dr. Saied Mohammad-Zadeh told that the Iraqi university delegation got acquainted with the capacities, possibilities and capabilities of Ramin University and spoke with members of its different faculties during their Saturday's visit.
He said that the RNARU is the first higher education center in agriculture field in Khuzestan province that is establishing international relations, adding that the the Iraqi delegation ia scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding for joint research programs.
Mohammad-Zadeh said that if both universities' officials agree there will also be short term courses, conferences training workshops and exchange of scientific information, facilities and laboratory equipment between the two universities.
The manger of International Cooperation Group of Ramin University said that due to the close geographical proximity between Iran's Ahvaz province and Iraq's Basra province the agricultural problems in both are alike and therefore the two countries' researchers can seek joint solutions to them through joint research.
He said that the agricultural and animal husbandry products of Khuzestan and Basra are similar and include dates, dairy products and wheat.
Ramin Agricultural and Natural Resources University of Ahvaz has terrestrial studies, gardening, farming, agricultural economy, water engineering, agricultural mechanization, and natural resources faculties and is located in Bavi Township of Ahvaz.
